I would like to trade my country paradise for rural property in New Mexico so that I can be closer to my parents.
I have 42.5 acres of prime wilderness land with a 2 bedroom cabin on it. The cabin has a tin roof on it covered in white sealant. The cabin has a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a large pantry, a sunroom and a bathroom with tub/shower combo and a room for the washer and dryer.
The house has high speed internet and Direct TV. The septic tank and the water well is in good condition. There is a large barn/garage that will hold at least three (maybe four) cars in it plus many other things. We have two freezers in it, two work benches plus a completely enclosed walk in storage room.
There is a large propane tank outside for the kitchen stove, clothes dryer and heater in the sun room. The refrigerator, washing machine, hot water heater are electric. There is a nice size wood burning stove with glass front in the living room that we use for almost all of our heat in the winter time. There are also two window air conditioner/heaters.
There is s a small orchard in the field beside the house and a separate wood shed building used for cutting firewood, storing firewood and keeping assorted wood cutting tools. Also there is a separate hook up for an electric generator should there be a electric power outage at the house. There is enough deadfall wood on the forest floor to keep you in firewood forever.
There is also a separate portable storage building and another completely finished portable building. The portable building is being used as a recording studio right now, but you could use it for an office or anything else. It has four huge windows on it to take advantage of the view and it has an air conditioner/heater, plus telephone, high speed internet.
Hunting on the property is fabulous. On the property are rabbit, possum, raccoon, deer, wild hog, turkey, coyote, bear, cougar and black panther. From the house it is a five minute walk through the woods to Bull Shoals Lake. This lake has 1100 miles of shoreline, many marinas and campgrounds along its shoreline plus plenty of rock cliff for rock climbing or just looking.
The neighbors are not within eyesight except for the ones on the other hills. The lake cannot be seen (because of the large oak trees ) except from the highest part of the property. The road that runs through the property is gravel and is maintained by the county. Air Medivac Helicopter services is also available in the area and there is plenty clear space close to the house for the helicopter to land should an emergency arise.
The nearest store is about 5 miles away. The nearest Wal-Mart is less than 20 miles away. Branson, Missouri is a 45 minute drive. Springfield, Missouri is a 2 hour drive.
If you’re looking for a retirement property where you will have privacy and peace and quiet, this is your place. The woods are practically untouched. There is a live rock waterfall cascade on the property during rainy periods.
This property is in our family trust and has no liens on it. It is for sale as is .
I need a rural house with views and land around central New Mexico. I have to move closer to my mother and father to help them as they are getting older. Your property must be paid off and clear of any liens. My property requires very little upkeep so it is perfect for a retired person. And we also have great neighbors. I have plenty more pictures.
