We are a military couple in our early 30s relocating to Fort Belvoir, VA (MAY 2009) wiling to rent/swap houses with anyone decent person(s) that may be relocating to the Savannah, GA area.
I own a 1,600 sq ft 2-story home in a cul-de-sac with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths in great/safe neighborhood. We are located in Wilmington Island, 10 minutes from Tybee Beach and 9 minutes from historic downtown Savannah. Automobile traffic to Hunter Army Airfield ranges from 20 to 30 minutes (approx. 13 miles) depending on time of the day.
You'll find everything you'll need at Wilmington Island, from grocery stores, Super Target, Home Depot, banks, movie theaters, etc. These and other stores are within 10 minutes or less from my house.
If you enjoy the beach, lots of trees or if you own a boat (the marina is around the corner), then please consider this property. The current value of my house is 225K and will be willing to rent it as well for a negotiable rent value. I have more pictures if you desire. Thanks!
